    Hi there,

Welcome to the New Year! With a busy 2022 we rolled out over 30 engagement opportunities, and I am excited to announce that there will be plenty of opportunities to contribute again to projects happening around the Adelaide Hills in 2023.

Whether you've been with us for several years or are new to our engagement platform, we're super happy to have you onboard and thank you for providing your feedback on a consultation in the past.

Keeping you up to date with consultations and providing you with opportunities to tell us your thoughts, ideas and concerns on projects and decisions is important to us. The more voices we hear from, the more relevant and beneficial our decisions will be. Make this the year of getting involved in your local community.

WHAT WE ACHIEVED WITH OUR ENGAGEMENT HUB TOGETHER IN 2022

    • Our Community Engagement Hub has been running for just over five years
    • We have 2,457 activated participants, which grew an additional 416 people in 2022
    • We have had 16,800 visits to the online hub
    • We have rolled out over 30 consultations and engagement opportunities
    • Approximately 1,000 community members have participated in one of our consultations or engagements via our online platform.

Although the above achievements are in relation to our online platform, we still provide opportunities for our community to get involved in providing their views and feedback in other ways to make sure there's something for everyone.

    CURRENT CONSULTATIONS / ENGAGEMENTS

    Events in the Adelaide Hills

Did you know the Council supports over 100 diverse community events each year?

Events and festivals create a huge opportunity for community connection and celebration as well as social, cultural, environmental and economic benefits.

Festivals and events come with a varied range of responsibilities, planning requirements and community expectations which, if not managed well can result in a variety of issues and conflicts.

We are seeking feedback on events you may have attended in the last year or may attend in the coming months.

    Let's chat events:

    • Tell us more about your event experience here
    • Share an event idea
    • Start a discussion about events here

If you're planning an event check out the Council Community Event Support available.

Stirling Coventry Library Lawns and Rotunda

Council has taken a little while to review the latest community feedback and decide on the next steps in relation to the Stirling Rotunda Project. What has become clear from the engagements undertaken to date is how important this whole site is as a central civic space for the Stirling community and beyond. Council is going to take a step back and look at the whole site, so it’s fit for purpose now and for the generations to come.

As part of this whole of site approach we’re looking to form a local resident/ business group that will be part of the project. The group will be made up of a balance of ages, gender and businesses/residents. If you would like to be a part of this group, please take a moment to express your interest via a quick form here.

If you are successful, we will be in touch in early 2023.

    Hi there,

Hopefully soon we'll see some hints of Spring, with less rain and more sunshine, bird activity and greening of trees. The hills are certainly a beautiful place to be this time of year when winter passes and we get more active.

Although there is currently a pause on Consultations until the 12 of November, due to the Council election period, we want to assure you that we are still here and listening. And while it's still a little wet and woolly there's a few things you can take a look at if you're stuck indoors.

You can find further information about Council elections, who the candidates for AHC are and how to get ready to vote here. If you are registered to vote you should have received your voting information in the mail by now.

While you may not see any formal opportunities for comment, we’ve set up some feedback opportunities for anyone interested in sharing ideas to help improve how we engage with you. You can raise issues for consideration or provide suggestions on ways we can better connect with your community, so please drop us a line during this time online here.

You could also take a moment to check your registration details in our engagement platform. Ensure you have your township and any areas of particular interest included so we can give you a heads up when something is happening in your area and area of interest.

If you have participated in a consultation this year and wondered what the outcome was you might just find out if you continue to scroll down!
