Upcoming Tree Works

Date: Tuesday, 14 April
Time: 7:00am – 5:00pm Tree maintenance works are scheduled to take place at Reserve Avenue Reserve, Lobethal during the above time. These works have been deliberately planned on a non-kindy day to help minimise disruption for nearby users, including the local kindergarten and community groups.

What’s happening?

Council contractors will be pruning three mature trees within the reserve, following a recent tree condition assessment. The trees identified for pruning include:

• Two Fraxinus angustifolia
• One Corymbia maculata

This work forms part of Council’s ongoing tree management program and is necessary to maintain safety while supporting the long-term health and structure of these trees.

What to expect on the day

To safely carry out the works, crews may use an Elevated Work Platform (EWP) and/or qualified climbing arborists. During this time, there may be:

• Temporary closures of parts of the reserve
• Short-term closure of the entire reserve (if required)

Please follow all signage and directions from onsite staff to ensure safety.

Looking ahead

Additional tree planting is planned within the reserve in the near future, as part of Council’s broader approach to enhancing the area’s tree canopy and natural environment.
