Notification of Urgent tree works - Terlinga Road Mount Torrens
Notification of urgent tree removal works – Terlinga Road, Mount Torrens
Adelaide Hill Council will be undertaking urgent tree management works to vegetation impacted by the Cudlee Creek Bushfire located directly adjacent to Terlinga Road Mount Torrens.
Works required: Complete removal of brittle dead Eucalyptus trees and pruning to reduce branch extension of large dead trees that will enable tree retention as smaller specimens.
Reason for works: These urgent tree removals and pruning works are required to mitigate the risks associated with tree failure occurring and impacting the Department of Infrastructure and Transport managed road corridor.
Date of Works: Monday 9th October to Tuesday 24th October 2023.
Impacted Days: Monday to Friday
Time of Works: 9:00am – 4:00pm
Traffic restrictions: To enable these works to be undertaken in a safe manner, a section of Terlinga Road will be closed to vehicle traffic.
Throughout the duration of these works a temporary traffic detour will be implemented utilising the following gravel roads:
- Harrogate Road
- Black Heath Road
B-Double truck access (only) will be maintained through the works site. Wait times will occur at the designated detour sign point locations, as the road surface is prepared for safe usage. Traffic control operators will then direct B-Double truck movements through the worksite.
Please note, an alternative sealed road detour option is available utilising the following roadways:
Tungkillo Road, Randell Road, Torrens Valley Road, and Onkaparinga Valley Roads.
To provide road users with advance warning of this upcoming road closure and traffic detour, electronic messaging sign boards have been installed at various locations on Lobethal Road.
