Notification of upcoming road verge vegetation management works - Cudlee Creek bushfire impacted region

Adelaide Hills Council wishes to advise that the following works will be undertaken alongside various Cudlee Creek Bushfire impacted roadways.

Works: Mechanical clearance of vegetation regrowth up to 2m from road edge.

Locations: The following roadways will be treated during winter 2024 over the following dates.

Berry Hill Road, Kenton Valley - Ferndale Road to Communications Tower

Monday 29th to Tuesday 30th April

Reservoir Road, Lobethal - Kenton Valley Road to Berry Hill Road

Wednesday 1st April

Berry Hill Road, Kenton Valley - Reservoir Road to Ferndale Road

Thursday 2nd to Tuesday 7th May

Ferndale Road Kenton Valley - Berry Hill Road to Kenton Valley Road

Wednesday 8th May

Stringybark Road, Cudlee Creek – Newdorf Road to end of road

Thursday 9th to Friday 10th May

Croft Road, Cudlee Creek – Between Stafford’s Road and Neudorf Road

Monday 13th to Wednesday 15th May

Neudorf Road, Lobethal – Cudlee Creek Road to Klopsch Road

Thursday 16th to Friday 17th May

Date TBA - Burnley Road, Woodside – Kings Road to Teakles Road
Date TBA - Eckermann Road, Kenton Valley - Mount Torrens Road to Kenton Valley Road
Date TBA - Reefton Road, Woodside Road - Bird In Hand Road to southern side of # 75 Reefton Road

Reason for works: Removal of dense Acacia pycnantha (Golden Wattle) and eucalypt regrowth from within the road verge areas is required to maintain sufficient road envelope clearance and to improve vehicle sightlines.

Vehicle restrictions: To enable the works to be conducted in a safe manner, closure of the listed roadways will be required. Throughout the duration of the works, a work zone traffic management plan including detours will be implemented. Access for emergency services will be maintained during the works.

Residents of properties in the affected area will still be able to access their properties but are advised that delays may occur. To avoid disruption, we ask for impacted residents within the affected areas to review the location of the worksites and select the appropriate access point.
