PUBLIC NOTICE

Rolling Closures of the Amy Gillett Bikeway

Adelaide Hills Council advises that sections of the Amy Gillett Bikeway will be subject to temporary rolling closures four (4) times per calendar year to enable scheduled maintenance.

These programmed maintenance activities form part of Council’s ongoing asset management responsibilities and are undertaken to maintain safety and protect the long-term integrity of this key regional cycling and recreational corridor within the Adelaide Hills, ensuring it remains safe, functional, and fit for purpose.

Under a rolling closure arrangement, only single sections of the bikeway will be closed at any one time. As works are completed, sections will progressively reopen and closures will move to adjoining segments. This staged approach minimises disruption to users while ensuring works are completed safely and efficiently.

During closure periods, users can expect:

  • Clearly defined work zones
  • Temporary access restrictions within designated sections
  • Traffic management measures to ensure public safety

Council requests that cyclists, pedestrians and other users comply with all signage and directions provided by authorised personnel.

Specific dates will be published on this page prior to each scheduled maintenance period.

Council appreciates the community’s patience and cooperation while these essential works are carried out. For further information, please contact Adelaide Hills Council on (08) 8408 0400 or visit www.ahc.sa.gov.au
