Located in the road reserve off Coach House Drive. Behind the cul-de-sacs of Sunglow, Colonial and Havana Courts, Teringie.

The play space has been closed following safety concerns with the rubber soft fall surface and some of the equipment.

In late April 2023 some signage was placed on the bunting surrounding the site to inform users of the safety concerns, and letters were distributed to directly adjacent residents.

The playground will remain in place and bunted off for a few more months until it is safe enough to get heavy machinery onsite to safely remove it.

There is no funding allocated to the replacement of the play space at this point in time, so as a result the Play Space be removed until we consider next steps.

Following removal of the Play Space, Council staff will undertake some analysis and consultation (in line with our Play Space Framework & associated criteria for upgrade) around future play space needs for Teringie.

This consultation and analysis will consider the following:

    * Demographics of the area

    * The strategic outcomes associated with the site, including analysis of the current supply of other play spaces & recreational opportunities in the area

    * The value of the play space to the community

    * A cost benefit analysis of play space replacement

It is anticipated that this consultation and analysis process will commence prior to the end of 2023. If you are interested in being involved in the Teringie Play Space consultation please be in touch via engage@ahc.sa.gov.au

    PERMANENT TRAIL CLOSURE

    Stay safe out there!

    Works: Trail Closure (Permanent)

    When: 14 December 2022 (ongoing)

Where: Hender Reserve between Hender Road and the Railway line.

What: Close existing trail leading from Hender Reserve to railway and on to Woorabinda Drive/Mabel Street.

Why: The trail leads to high-risk informal crossing point over the railway line.

We are working with the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) to encourage the community to use the designated crossing further south along the railway line.

We would like to thank you for your support by using the formal pedestrian crossing, and by not moving or removing fallen timbers within the Reserves.
