What's included in the upgrade?
The allocated budget ($190,000) will cover site preparation, play equipment, landscaping, seating and possibly signage. There is also additional funds for a shelter (maximum $17,000).
What's not included in the upgrade?
Associated assets such as public toilets, bbq areas, fencing or lighting
Will there be a drop in session so I can have my say?
Yes! We will have a stall at the Mylor Markets on Sunday 6th August 10am till 12pm. Please come say hi and let us know your ideas!
What's the budget for the project?
$190,000 has been allocated for this project. There is also additional funds for a shelter (maximum $17,000).
Who should provide their feedback?
We welcome all feedback. Council is inviting comment from all park users such as local residents, key community groups, local schools and child care centers. Parents, grandparents and carers who take children to the playground can provide feedback.
How can I provide my feedback?
When will construction start?
Consultation will occur in 2023 with construction to follow in 2024. We'll keep you posted.
How long will it take to construct the playground?
It's expected it will take about 3-4 months to construct the new play space.
What happens to the existing equipment?
Due to the responsibilities council has in keeping the community safe, it is necessary that we decommission and dispose of the existing playground equipment.
