    What: Stop/slow, speed restrictions and parking restrictions will be in place on Druid Avenue, Stirling while SA Water conducts a trench excavation for a new service.

    When: 20 January to 12 February, weather permitting.

    Where: Druid Avenue, Stirling.

    Important information: Excavation work will not commence until after the Stirling Market on Sunday 24 January. During works traffic will maintain access but with Stop/Slow signs to manage vehicles.

  • Council: Stormwater pipe upgrade, Lower Hermitage Road 18/1 - 15/2/21

    What: Upgrades to a large stormwater pipe will require the temporary closure of Lower Hermitage Road, Lower Hermitage (at approximately 375 Lower Hermitage Road).

    When: Works will commence during the week commencing Monday 18 January 2021 and will be active for approximately four weeks (pending weather conditions).

    Important information: A detour will be in place via Millbrook Road.

    What: Road closures will be in place along sections of Western Branch Road, Lobethal and Woodside in January to allow for tree works to be undertaken. These works will be removing dead and dying foliage which has not recovered since the Cudlee Creek Bushfire, Dec 2019.

    When: 7am - 4pm, Mon 11 - Tue 19 Jan 2021 (no works on weekends)

    Where: Intermittent sections onWestern Branch Road between Lobethal Road and Tiers Road, Woodside.

    Important information: Detours will be in place during road closures.

    What: Fox Creek Road, Cudlee Creek will be closed for several days to allow for significant tree works, removing dead and dying foliage which has not recovered since the Cudlee Creek Bushfire, Dec 2019.

    When: 7am - 4pm, Thu 14 to Wed 20 January 2021 (no works on weekends).

    Where: Fox Creek Road from Cudlee Creek Road to Croft Road.

    Important Information: Digital signage will be in place ahead of the closures to advise passing traffic of the upcoming works. Detours will be in place during the road closure times.

    What: Council is undertaking road shoulder construction work on Ridge Road Mylor as part of the Black Spot Program for road safety. The work will be located in 2 sections between the Bradbury Road intersection and Boyle Swamp Road, Mylor.

    When: This project will take place between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday from 12 - 22 January, weather permitting.

    Why: This Road has been identified for safety improvements and the works have been funded by the Black Spot Program. The wider sealed shoulders will greatly improve road user safety on Ridge Road.

    Important information: Speed restrictions and lane blocks will be in place. Residential driveways on Ridge Road will be intermittently affected; the contractor will be available to coordinate resident traffic movement around works. Residents in the immediate area have received a letter drop with contractor details.

    What is happening: Council will be undertaking a project to construct a new Footpath on Kidney Street Uraidla. The work will be located on the road verge in front of the Uraidla School Oval opposite number 6 Kidney Street and continue up the hill too number 31 Days Road.

    Why are the works taking place? This section of verge has no formalised footpath to service the School and retirement homes. The new footpath will provide better access between these facilities and the main shopping area.

    Timing: The project will commence Tuesday the 5th of January and is expected to be complete by the 16th of January, weather permitting.

    Access: During this time speed restrictions and lane blocks will be in place and residential driveways on Kidney Street will be intermittently effected, the contractor will be available to coordinate work around traffic movements. Residents in the immediate area will received a letter drop with the contractors details.

    What: Council will be installing a new footpath on William Street, Woodside. This will be installed on the road verge between Elizabeth Street and Nairne Road.

    When: This project will take place between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday from 11 - 24 December, weather permitting.

    Why: The current footpath and steps condition has deteriorated which is creating trip hazards.

    Important information: Speed restrictions and lane blocks will be in place. Residential driveways on William Street will be intermittently affected; the contractor will be available to coordinate resident traffic movement around works.     What: Council will be commencing renewal of a section of footpath and steps on Bassendene Lane, Aldgate.

    When: This project will take place between 7am and 5pm, Monday to Friday from 11 - 18 January, weather permitting.

    Why: The current footpath and steps condition has deteriorated which is creating trip hazards.

    Important information: The entire footpath will be closed while the works take place. Please find an alternative route during this time.

    During the renewal works both sides of the footpath will need to be closed, preventing pedestrian through access. Signage will be installed to advise pedestrians approaching from Fenchurch Road and Euston Road before they reach the closure point.

    What: Minor works are being undertaken to upgrade the footpath adjacent to On The Run in Balhannah this week. The new footpath will be paved to match others in the vicinity.

    When: Weather permitting, this project is expected to be completed by Friday 18 December.
