Council: Upgrade to footpath, kerb and stormwater, Main Street Lobethal, 15/3/2021 - 9/4/2021

What is happening: Council will be undertaking a project to renew a section of footpath, kerb and upgrade stormwater assets in the Main Street at Lobethal.

Why are the works taking place? This section of footpath has multiple trip hazards and defects, the kerb is depressed and shattered and the stormwater system does not manage large rain events. The new footpath and kerb will increase pedestrian safety and upgrades to the stormwater pits will improve collection.

Timing: The project will commence Monday the 15 of March and is expected to be complete by the 9 of April 2021.

Access: During this time speed restrictions and footpath closure will be in place, residential driveways and access to the Lobethal Bakery front carpark will be intermittently effected, the contractor will be available to coordinate work around traffic movements.

Additional information: As part of the works 3 mature Ash will be removed and replaced with 4 Zelkova serrata “Green Vase’ Japanese Elms in new positions to match with recent street scape works in the Main Street.
