Consultation has concluded
It has been identified that the reserve known as Carripook Park, on the corner of Kain Avenue and Mount Barker Road Bridgewater, has a legal status as unmade public road.
The reserve has never been used as a road and under this proposal it will continue to operate as a reserve accessible to anyone in the community.
We are undertaking a road closure process under the Roads (Opening & Closing) Act 1991 to close the Land as public road.
The outcome of the road closure process will be the retention of the Land by Council which will be vested as Community Land and managed in accordance with a Community Land Management Plan, consistent with its physical use.
Users of Carripook Reserve will not see any changes.
A report including plans of the site is available in the document library to the right of this page.
A copy of the plan are also available for public inspection at the offices of the Council at 63 Mt Barker Road, Stirling, between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, or at the Adelaide office of the Surveyor-General during normal office hours.
Please note any application for easement or objection must be fully supported by reasons. The application for easement or objection must be made by completing the form below or in writing to PO Box 44, Woodside SA 5244 on or before Wednesday 28 September. A copy will be forwarded to the Surveyor-General. Where a submission is made, the Council will give notification of a meeting at which the matter will be considered.
