"We want Adelaide Hills’ residents, business owners and visitors to feel safe and supported in their communities; to connect with each other; to enjoy our unique natural environment and local culture; and to be ambitious for a brighter future"

Dr Jan-Claire Wisdom Mayor Adelaide Hills Council

Project Update

In December 2019 and January 2020 we gave you the opportunity to comment on the draft Strategic Plan and through March you let us know what you thought of the final draft. Thank you to everyone who had their say as part of this final consultation phase.

Our team has collated your feedback which has shaped the final Strategic Plan 2020-2024. We encourage you to turn the pages and take a look at the Strategic Plan which will provide direction for the next four years.

What's a Strategic Plan?

A Strategic Plan outlines the Council’s key areas of focus for the coming four years.

It doesn’t include everything we do, but it helps us focus on those areas which need new or renewed attention to address emerging community needs and trends. The Annual Business Plan is a document which contains more of the detail, in particular, how we plan to implement the Strategic Plan.

In summary the Strategic Plan says what we want to do over the next 4 years and Annual Business Plan describes what we will do in the next 12 months to get where we need to go. You will be able to have your say on the Annual Business Plan in the coming months.

Why does a Strategic Plan matter?

We want the Adelaide Hills to be a place for everyone. We need you to help us achieve that.

What's in the Plan is a priority for funding so it is really important that the Plan reflects the aspirations of our local community, and that includes you.

What you said: Phase 3 Consultation Summary is now available here.
