Consultation has concluded

Thank you to all who attended the Norton Summit Community Forum in October. A summary of the meeting is now available in the document library, right of this page.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions in 2020 Council had to cancel Community Forums planned for:

Mylor

Basket Range

Birdwood

Community forums are an excellent way of putting forward your point of view and hearing what other members of the community have to say on issues that are important to you. These public meetings enable the Council, community and other organisations to work collaboratively on goals for the region. The objective of Council's forum is to improve engagement and communication by creating an opportunity for an open discussion about emerging issues for Council and the community.

Community Forums are held throughout the year in community facilities so Council can communicate directly with residents in their own back yard. The format is semi-structured, commencing with presentations from local groups sharing achievements and presenting opportunities to enhance community involvement. Following the presentations is a 'break out' session over supper where council members and senior staff are available for questions and discussions. Forums start at 6pm with refreshments ready for a 6.30pm start and are generally concluded by 8.30pm.

Whether you can make it to a forum or not, we invite you to submit a topic for discussion or comment. If you represent a community group and would like to make a presentation, please submit a request below.
