Council is developing a new plan to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in Council operations and support the community on reducing emissions across the Adelaide Hills.

The plan is being developed to:

• Ensure Council continues to demonstrate sustainability leadership.

• Identify new opportunities for both Council and community to reduce emissions.

• Provide a clear emissions reduction pathway.

How you can get involved:

We will be running two focus group sessions at Council's Woodside Office at 26 Onkaparinga Valley Road, Woodside so we can hear thoughts and ideas from the community. We would like to ensure we have a diverse group of people and skill sets in the focus group so to be considered please register your interest below to go into the pool from which we can select final participants.

Feedback from these focus groups will then be considered as part of finalising the plan towards the end of 2024.

Focus Group Session 1 (Wednesday 25 September | 6.30pm - 8pm):

In session one we will present the latest greenhouse gas emissions profile for Council and the community, explore emissions reduction trends and opportunities, and discuss priorities from the community’s perspective.

Focus Group Session 2 (Wednesday 16 October | 6.30pm - 8pm):

In session two we will share and take a deep dive into the key emissions reduction actions and initiatives identified in session one and the draft plan for the community to comment on what you like, what’s missing and any final ideas.

Please ensure you can attend both dates and register by 18th September to be considered for the focus group.

We will be in touch with successful registrants after the 18th September.
