What's this all about?

We’re looking for caring people to help us make council spaces, services, programs and events more inclusive. You don’t need to be an expert – just someone who wants to share ideas or experiences that help people with disability, or those who care for them, feel welcomed and included.

Being an Access & Inclusion Champion is flexible – you choose how and when to take part.

What you might do

  • Join casual chats (online or in person)
  • Give feedback on council projects or plans
  • Take part in workshops on specific topics
  • Suggest ideas to make things easier for everyone
  • Share your lived experience
  • Raise concerns or community insights

How you can contribute

  • Share your voice in ways that suit you: writing, art, video, audio, in person
  • Listen in when you want – no pressure to speak
  • Opt in and opt out as life allows – we understand!

Who's this for?

Anyone who’s passionate about inclusion – especially people with lived experience of disability.

We’d love to hear from you – whether you’re ready to jump in or just curious. Start small and see how it feels.
