Works Update - May 2024
Works have begun at the boardwalks site on the western side of the lakes. The contractor will be completing site works and installing the boardkwalks in the next few weeks!!
Works: Boardwalk Replacement
When: May/June 2024 - weather and materials permitting
Where: Woorabinda Reserve - western side of the lake
What: The two boardwalks are being replaced with new boardwalks and will include some design changes including kick rails (to help prevent mobility devices and prams from rolling off the edge) and passing points for two prams/mobility devices to pass more easily.
Why: One section of the boardwalk was damaged in a storm during late 2022, and both are at the end of their useful life.
