Hello and welcome to the digital place for the Stirling Library Lawns project,

This is your space to leave comments, provide ideas, take part in surveys and read about what's going on.

The Stirling Library Lawns is a central civic space for the Stirling community and beyond and so we're embarking on developing a masterplan for the site. Through community engagement we will develop design solutions that will inform the Stirling Lawns Masterplan.

We are developing the masterplan in consultation with our community including:

  • A community representative co-design group
  • Elected members and Mayor
  • Staff from across the council
  • Dedicated engagement with our Access and Inclusion Panel, our Reconciliation Action Group, young people, community groups and Stirling businesses
  • More broadly there will be an opportunity for you to provide early ideas and comment on the draft masterplan - get started now using the tools below.

Next time you're on the Stirling Library Lawns, imagine what they could look like, sounds like, feel like and smell like in the future.

It’s important to note that this project is about masterplanning which means it’s conceptual and not about building infrastructure just yet although that is the ultimate plan.

The background and results of the community engagement on the Rotunda replacement can be found via this link: Stirling Rotunda Replacement - Stage 2 | Community Engagement Hub (ahc.sa.gov.au)

At the core of the masterplan endeavor is a commitment to community-driven development. We believe that the best ideas emerge when diverse voices come together. To ensure a comprehensive approach, we established a Community Co-Design Group (COG) featuring community representatives made up of local residents' form Stirling and surrounds.

The COG have met three times and have helped shape early concept plan.

Thank you to the COG members for their active and enthusiastic involvement in the Stirling Library Lawns Masterplan Co-Design process. We are so pleased members have been on the journey with us and are truly grateful for their time and input. We know not all of members could be at each session but the contribution they made at the session they were at was valued.

The next stage is to get feedback from other stakeholder groups on the draft concept plans (this includes the Access and Inclusion Group, high school and primary school children and Elected Members). Once we have all feedback we need to develop a draft Master Plan we will gather the COG again. It will be a chance to meet and talk through the proposed design and involve them in engaging the wider community. Watch this space.
