Update

This consultation has now closed. There was one submission received. A report went to Council on 22 March 2022 (see pages 50 - 80).

Council resolved:

1. That the report be received and noted

2. To issue an Alteration of Road Permit to the land owner of 63 Waverley Ridge Road, Crafers West, for a term of ten (10) years, in accordance with the provisions of s221 of the Local Government Act 1999.

3. Authorise the Chief Executive to finalise and sign all necessary documentation pursuant to this resolution.

4. For the permit term to be 25 years.


Council have received an application for consideration which includes the erection of a fence on a portion of public road reserve from the owner of 63 Waverley Ridge Road, Crafers West. The owners of the property have provided a written letter with further background information to support their application.

As required by Section 223 (1) (a) of the Local Government Act, 1999, if a Council proposes to grant an authorization or permit that would result in any part of a road being fenced, enclosed or partitioned as to impede the passage of traffic to a material degree, the council must commence a public consultation process.

The community is welcome to review the application and provide comment via a submission.
