Department of Infrastructure and Transport: Works on South Eastern Freeway 14-17 May
Where:
The final layer of asphalt will be placed on the South Eastern Freeway's outbound lanes from Friday 14-Monday 17 May, with works undertaken at the following times, weather permitting.
When:
- 1pm Friday 14 May until 8:30am Saturday 15 May
- 2pm Saturday 15 May until 8:30am Sunday 16 May
- 2pm Sunday 16 May until 6am Monday 17 May.
Important Information: Speed restrictions will be in place during the day and night in both directions. Motorists should expect delays, so please plan ahead and allow extra travel time. Once these works are complete, speed restrictions will remain in place on the outbound lanes for approximately four to six weeks, weather permitting, to enable excess bitumen to be worn to a safe level prior to the posted speed limit being reinstated. The map attached shows traffic restrictions from 7pm Friday 14 May to 6am Monday 17 May.
