Tree works requiring detours, Mt Barker Rd Stirling

Tree pruning works will be undertaken along Mount Barker Road, Stirling, from Tuesday 31 August until Monday 6 September, in three stages to minimise disruptions to road users.

Works will be undertaken between 9:00am and 4:00am daily.

Stage one: Snows Road to Gould Road
Mount Barker Road will be reduced to one lane for west-bound traffic. East-bound traffic will be detoured up Gould Road, across Baeside Road, and down Snows Road.
In the early afternoons Mount Barker Road will be reduced to one lane for east-bound traffic. West-bound traffic will be detoured using the same route.

Both bus stop 39 and 40 will be closed; passengers should follow directions at bus shelters to the closest alternate bus stop.

Stage two: Pine Street to Twin Street
Mount Barker Road will be reduced to one lane for west-bound traffic. East-bound traffic will be detoured up Twin Street, across Milan Terrace, and down Pine Street.
In the early afternoons Mount Barker Road will be reduced to one lane for east-bound traffic. West-bound traffic will be detoured using the same route.

There will be no impacts to bus stops during this stage.

Stage three: Adjacent to Stirling Oval
Speed reductions will be in place along Mount Barker Road; no detours will be required.
