SE Freeway, Portrush Rd, Glen Osmond Rd, Cross Rd intersection works

The Department for Infrastructure and Transport (the Department) is undertaking major road pavement rehabilitation works on the South Eastern Freeway/ Cross Road/ Portrush Road and Glen Osmond Road intersection and at all approaches to the intersection.

The works involve removing existing pavement and replacing it with new asphalt to ensure the long term safety and integrity of the intersection for all road users.

Major works will be undertaken in four separate sections , with activities underway in only one section at a time. Throughout the construction program works will return to each section on around three occasions.

Roads will remain open, with two way traffic maintained at all times and speed restrictions in place. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction through the work zone during work hours. Please expect some delays. Outside of work hours all lanes will be open to traffic with speed restrictions in place.

Project completion is expected in early 2022.
