Update: Road upgrade works Croft Road Lenswood (Coldstore RD - Fox Creek Bike Park)

Croft Road will be CLOSED from Wednesday 8th May until Wednesday 15th May, including the weekend (11th / 12th May) for the final stage of construction works. The full closure is required to allow the road base stabilisation works to be undertaken safely as the specialised construction plant is large and the road is narrow and windy.
The detour via Edwards Hill Road will remain in place to provide access to the Fox Creek Bike Park upper car park and Anderson Hill Winery.
Upgrade works have commenced on Croft Road in Lenswood, between Coldstore Road and the Fox Creek Bike Park upper car park.
This section of Croft Road is approximately 1.8km long. The works will include minor widening, changes in geometry to better meet modern design standards, installation of safety signage and construction of a stabilised pavement with a sprayed seal wearing course. The project will provide a safer, smoother ride for motorists as they traverse Croft Road as well as reduced ongoing maintenance for Adelaide Hill Council.
The project will commence in late April 2024 or early May 2024, weather permitting.
During this period this section of Croft Road will be closed during work hours (7am – 5pm Mon-Fri), with a detour in place to the Fox Creek Bike Park upper car park via Edwards Hill Road.
The road will be made safe and opened after hours and on weekends, with reduced speed limits in place.
A notification board has been installed at the Coldstore Road end to provide advanced notice of the road closure.
