Road closure. Fox Creek Rd, Cudlee Creek

The section of Fox Creek Road shown on the map, from the corner of Cudlee Creek Rd, will be closed during work hours (7am – 5pm Mon-Fri), with a detour in place via Cudlee Creek / Lobethal Roads.

The project will commence on Monday the 17th of February and is expected to be complete by the 7th of March, weather permitting.

The road will be made safe and opened after hours and on weekends, with reduced speed limits in place. A road closure is essential to safeguard both the public and the work crew, given the specialized heavy construction machinery in use and the narrow, winding nature of the road corridor.

Access to the Fox Creek Bike Park lower carpark will be maintained at all times (from the south).

Council is undertaking the project to upgrade a 700m section of Fox Creek Road, Cudlee Creek, south of the intersection with Cudlee Creek Road. The road pavement in this section has deterioated and requires reconstruction. The road will be upgraded with a cementitious stabilised base course and a sprayed seal wearing course, with improved drainage to prolong the lifespan of the new pavement.
