Council: Black Spot safety improvements - Martin Hill Road and Checker Hill Road

What: Adelaide Hills Council is undertaking Government funded Black Spot safety improvements to Martin Hill and Checker Hill Road, Forreston.

When: Work is planned to begin on Tuesday 10 November on Martin Hill Road. Checker Hill Road work will commence directly following this. Both roads will be sealed during the week ending Friday 27 November, weather permitting.

Why: These locations were selected for Black Spot funding based on historical vehicle accident data.

Important information: During these works speed restrictions and lane closures will be in place, resulting in traffic delays. Private driveways on both roads will be intermittently effected, however the contractor will be available to coordinate work around traffic movements from these properties. Residents in the immediate area have received a letter containing the contractor's details and a Variable Message Board (VMS) digital sign is in place on the roadside advising passing traffic as of Monday 9 November.
