Construction Work - Burfords Hill Road, Mt Torrens

As a part of the Amy Gillett Bikeway Extension project, Civil Services have engaged a contractor to undertake repair work on Burfords Hill Road Bridge in Mount Torrens. The Amy Gillett Bikeway extension follows the old rail corridor and will pass over this bridge. The bridge has non-structural defects on several components that require repair prior to the bikeway being constructed over the top. The repair works will involve concrete patching and crack repairs and the application of protective coatings.

When: Monday the 3rd of March and is expected to take 3 weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Where: The section of Burfords Hill Road immediately adjacent the bridge will be closed.

Hours of work: Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm, the road will be made safe and opened after hours and on weekends.

Detour: via Angas Creek / Mueller Roads.
