Asphalt Resurfacing Works will be undertaken on Albert Street, between Victoria Street and The Big Rocking Horse, Gumeracha

Where

On behalf of the Department for Infrastructure and Transport, Fulton Hogan will be undertaking road resurfacing works, including profiling, asphalting, line marking and associated works on Albert Street, including the junctions of Victoria Street and Randell Terrace, between Victoria Street and The Big Rocking Horse, Gumeracha.

These works are being undertaken to improve the amenity of the road for all users.

When

Works are scheduled to commence on Tuesday, 8 November 2022 and are expected to be completed in mid-December 2022, weather permitting.

Typically works will be undertaken Monday to Friday, between 7am and 5pm.

No works will be undertaken on Saturday or Sunday.

What you need to know

To safely facilitate these works, speed and lane restrictions, and local detours will be in place during the day while the works are being carried out.

During the works, access to some side roads off Albert Street may be temporarily restricted, as required, with local detours in place. Please follow the directions of on-site traffic controllers and observe traffic signage when travelling through the area.

A speed restriction of 40km/h will remain in place outside of working times, subject to on site conditions. Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time and take extra care when workers are on site.

Access will be maintained for emergency services vehicles and public transport at all times. Some bus stops within the project area may be temporarily impacted while works are undertaken, please observe bus stop signage and visit www.linksa.com.au for the latest information.

Access to properties will be maintained during the works wherever possible, with advance notice provided if there is a need to temporarily restrict driveway access.

Access to businesses will be maintained at all times during trading hours, please continue to support your local business.

Some noise disturbance can be expected at times while these works are completed, however the work will be managed to minimise disturbance as much as practically possible. You may also notice some odour which is common when asphalting works are underway.

Pedestrians and cyclists are advised to take care when travelling through the area. For safety reasons there may be some restricted access. Where required, signage will be in place to direct pedestrians and cyclists to alternative routes. Every effort will be made to minimise impacts to the community.
