It’s planting time! To improve the visual amenity and usability of public space within Lewis Walk and the Lewis Yarluperka O'Brien Reserve, Council will be undertaking a variety of works in winter months ahead.

These works include:

• Final connection of feature spot lighting located throughout the reserve area.

• Revegetation works to various vacant garden beds in which 140 semi-established native shrubs and sedges will be planted.

• Irrigation modifications and expansion of turfed areas to provide improved recreational spaces.

• Installation of a park picnic bench to enable increased seating opportunities to the northern end of Lewis Walk.
• Tree pruning works to remove brittle dead branches within two large Peppercorn Trees.

A selection of plant species indigenous to the Adelaide region and have been chosen for their low water requirements, minimal maintenance needs, and year-round visual appeal. You can see the selected plants below.

These species are well suited to local conditions and will provide an attractive and sustainable landscape outcome.
