We have been busy reviewing the feedback received and considering this alongside possible verge treatments and service levels and standards. We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.

Council applies a variety of minimum verge service levels and standards across the district to focus resources where they are most needed. Service levels reflect both the nature of verge use and the character of locality.

Below you can see the information that was shared with community members during March and April 2026. The concept plan shows the verge surface treatments and associated maintenance standards that were proposed for verges within Hamilton Hill Estate.

This plan factors in the condition of existing vegetation onsite, considers egress and access requirements and incorporates community feedback for earlier stages of engagement. It is intended to provide clarity to the community, achieve landscape consistency and ensure sustainability of the precinct’s verges.
