Consultation has concluded
Magarey Road is a rural road located in Mount Torrens. A portion of this road is an unmade road reserve which prevents vehicles from driving from one end of the road to the other.
There is a significant risk that if emergency services are called they might respond to the wrong end of the road and find themselves with no through access to the property seeking assistance. In an emergency situation this would result in a time delay and significant risk to the person seeking assistance.
Following a resolution at the meeting of 27 November 2018, Council is proposing to rename the two sections of Magarey Road to Magarey Road North and Magarey Road South, to alleviate the risk of confusion for all services attending properties on this road.
