Consultation has now concluded
Adelaide Hills Council proposes to make an alteration to Public Road (section 223 of Local Government Act 1999).
The land owner of 944 Torrens Valley Road, Birdwood has applied for a permit to make an alteration to the unmade public road adjacent to their property by installing a rural fence.
The intended use of the road is to enable this large road reserve to be grazed by stock (alpacas) for fire hazard reduction. The proposal includes the construction of a rural fence along the boundary.
We want the community to provide any feedback about concerns relating to the proposed installation of fencing on the road reserve.
A detailed report including plans of the unmade road is available in the document library to the right of this page.
Please note any application for easement or objection must be fully supported by reasons. The application for easement or objection must be made in writing to the Council at PO Box 44, Woodside SA 5244 on or before 10 June and a copy will be forwarded to the Surveyor-General.
