Project Update: Draft Concept Plan Feedback Now Closed
Thank you to everyone who has provided feedback as part of this initial stage of designing the play space at Mt Torrens Centenary Park (Leckie Playground).
Take a look at the draft concept plan in the document library.
Your initial feedback has been reviewed and collated into a Consultations Outcome Report this informed the draft Concept Plan design.
Our next steps are to:
make any necessary changes to the design based on feedback
start planning the play space build.
We will use this project page to keep you updated on progress - if at any time you have any questions you can call or email our team:
This play space upgrade was identified in the Council’s 2019/20 Annual Business Plan and $120,000 has been allocated to undertake the works.
The Mt Torrens play space is classified as a ‘Local’ Play Space. A ‘Local’ Play Space in the Adelaide Hills Council is:
An area intended for local play, often equipment based
Visited by people who live nearby, sometimes by foot, for a short period of time.
Approximately third of the $180,000 will need to cover landscaping and site preparation and the other half will be used for play space elements (eg equipment, seating, nature play elements and signage).
Not included in the project is lighting, bbqs, public toilets, parking and fencing.
