Diversity and inclusiveness encompasses acceptance of the uniqueness of each individual, and respect and recognition of the differences and similarities in our community irrespective of race, ethnicity, physical ability, income, age, education, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs or politics.
We come from rich and varied backgrounds and circumstances. Together we can build a strong community that reflects our shared values interests and needs.
We want this diversity to be embraced and considered at all levels of Council business, from how we plan and develop our townships and infrastructure to how we deliver our services and programs.
We want to understand the challenges that people face in living and working in the Adelaide Hills and how we might address these, as well as ideas on what we can do to value and celebrate diversity. How can we engage with those who come from diverse backgrounds to gain insight into their experiences?
