Latest Update: August 2021
The streetscape upgrade works are now well underway. PLOT Works is making good progress in John Fisher Ave and the protuberances at the Federation Park end are taking shape.
NOTE – Vehicle access to Federation Park will be closed Monday-Thursday next week (23-26 August), it will be re-opened Friday, 27 August 2021.
You can also say good-bye to the existing street trees on Albert Street, they will be removed this Friday, 20 August. The new streetscape will see winter blossoming Ornamental Pears in the main street and white Crepe Myrtles in the protuberances and in front of the hospital.
The pavement colour for Albert Street will be Bronze Mix while in the side street we went for Charcoal.
SAPN assured council that the stobie poles will be removed by end of August after a delay caused by a large emergency workload due to tree failures during the bad weather we experienced. All street lights should now be functional.
The stormwater installation is complete. PLOT Works will replace the kerb and gutter on the northern side of Albert Street and set the stormwater entry pits to their correct levels.
Next Steps
