Thank you to everyone who shared their feedback on how we are going as an organisation and let us know what is most important to you. You can view our Engagement Report and Summary Report under the Document Library to find out what we heard from our community and how we'll be using your feedback.

Every two years, we undertake a Community Survey to check in with our residents and ask you how we are performing and talk about what is most important to you.

We asked you about what we're doing well, what could use improvement, what you love about living in the Hills and what ideas you have for the future. This year we also asked questions to help us understand the amenity and character traits of the Hills that are most important to you.

Feedback received during this year's Community Survey will be compared against results we have received in previous years and used to assist with planning for future Council initiatives.

What we heard

Community engagement was open from 30 April to 9 June 2025, and we received 467 survey responses, including 5 youth surveys. Feedback was received via online and hardcopy survey, with majority of respondents being residents of Adelaide Hills Council who had lived here for more than 10 years.

We encourage you to find out what we heard from our community by viewing the Engagement Report or summarised Engagement Summary, under the Document Library.

The feedback we received during engagement will be used to inform a number of current and upcoming Council initiatives, including (but not limited to):

  • The development of our Housing Strategy and Framework for Town and Precinct Planning
  • The creation of our Community Engagement Framework
  • Planning for our 2026/27 Annual Business Plan
  • Updating of our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan
  • Implementation of our Your Place Your Space Strategic Plan 2024
  • Implementation of our Towards Net Zero Carbon Management Plan
  • Review of our Biodiversity Strategy

This engagement closed Monday 9 June 2025.
