Community update: 1 February 2021

The Cherry Gardens Fire, although relatively small at 2,500ha of burned land, spanned three Council areas: ours, Onkaparinga, and Mount Barker District Council. Most of the affected land is State Conservation Park and reservoir, but several private properties were impacted.

We are currently working with government agencies to better understand the impact of the fire, and will help with the identification of recovery needs for those members of the community who are affected.
