On this page you will find information about current and upcoming bushfire mitigation works.
Adelaide Hills Council runs several programs to help lower bushfire risk across the district. These include:
- Roadside and Reserve Maintenance: Grass and vegetation are cleared twice a year to reduce fuel loads and improve safety.
- Asset Protection Zones: Vegetation is reduced around key buildings and reserves to slow fire spread.
- Fire Track Maintenance: Tracks are kept clear for emergency services to access fire-prone areas.
- Planned Burns: Council works with CFS and other agencies to carry out controlled burns at key sites.
- Weed Control: Programs target roadside and woody weeds that increase fire risk and threaten native plants and animals.
