What's happening

Our next community forum is coming up in Aldgate, and we'd like your help to understand what features make a space or place accessible and welcoming and when you feel the most included and connected to your community.

Your ideas and feedback will help us to review our existing Access and Inclusion Plan 2020-2024 and develop our new Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026-2030.

Community Forums are held throughout the year in community facilities around the Hills. They provide an opportunity for council and local residents to communicate directly with each other about emerging issues, services and Council initiatives.

Aldgate Community Forum - Supporting an Inclusive and Accessible Adelaide Hills

  • Location: Aldgate Village Well - 54 Strathalbyn Road, Aldgate
  • Date: Thursday 27 November 2025
  • Time: 6pm to 8pm
  • Light food provided along with tea, coffee and water

The forum will be an opportunity for residents, Council staff and Elected Members to connect and discuss what is happening in your community.

Why Attend?

  • Participate in the development of our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan by telling us about what features make a space or place accessible and welcoming and when you feel the most included and connected to your community.
  • Hear about activities being undertaken by local community groups and organisations.
  • Find out about our latest council projects and updates.
  • Have the opportunity to suggest and discuss ideas for your community.
  • Connect with council staff and Elected Members.

There will be opportunities for community led topics and discussions and various information for community members to investigate. You can suggest a topic you’d like to discuss at the forum when you register to attend.

Community members will have the opportunity to speak with and provide feedback to council staff and Elected Members at the forum as well as online following the event. We will provide a summary of the forum here in our document library to share what the forum addressed, what was shared and what we heard after it has occurred.

This forum is for community members, however service providers and business are welcome to attend in a personal capacity.

Photography 📸

There will be a photographer at the community forum who will be taking images of community members to feature in our Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2026-2030.

We will be looking for participants at the forum who are happy to feature in images and help us to celebrate the people who live in our Hills community.

Participation is optional and any community members who would not like to feature in individual images or group event images, are welcome to let staff know.
