I can't make it in person - can I join online?

Not at this session. We had considered live streaming the event but the experience would not be great. If enough people are interested we will consider an online forum. Please register and select the online option so we can be in touch.

    How do I register?

Please use the registration form on this page to secure your place - this is important for venue capacity, facilitation and catering purposes. Please register by 23 April.

I want to ask a question or have an idea I want to share - how can I do this?

Ideas can be shared via the mapping tool and ideas form on this page (especially for those unable to attend) and when you register you have the opportunity to share discussion topics.

    Where should I park?

Traffic management has been organsied, please follow the signs for parking which will include the school grounds and GP clinic next door. As it will be dark when you leave we recommend having your phone torch to hand.

Parking is limited at The Summit Community Centre, so please car pool where possible. We have an upper carpark and a smaller lower carpark.
Parking is available along Crescent Drive up to the Norton Summit Primary School.
Parking is also available across the road near the Scenic Hotel.

    Please see the map below.

I have an accessibility requirement - is your venue suitable to me?

Yes, please come. If you need an accessible car park please let us know in your registration so we can reserve a space for you. The Summit is wheelchair accessible and has accessible toilets.

What can I expect on the night?

You will be warmly welcomed and have an opportunity to mingle with Council staff and your community, arrive from 5.30pm so we can get started on time. After formal welcomes we will kick off with a facilitated session to allow community to work together sharing issues, ideas and solutions around discussion tables. There will be light supper and warm drinks provided during the session.

Should I come earlier than 6pm?

Yes please, come from 5.30pm so you can chat with your community, we will start the formal session at 6pm.

I can't make it - how will I be able to find out what you talked about?

A summary of the forum will be made available on this page in our document library as well as a follow up email to all who registered so please make sure you provide our email address even if you can't make it.

Why are you hosting this forum?

Community Forums enable the Council and community to work collaboratively on goals for the region. The objective of Council's forum is to improve engagement and communication by creating an opportunity for an open discussion about emerging issues for Council and the community. Your area has gone through a lot of change and we want to talk about that and how it's going for you.

I'm coming straight from work/ caring duties - will there be food?

Yes we will be catering a light supper for the event. Please let us know in your registration if you have any dietary requirements.
