In accordance with section 10 of the Roads (Opening & Closing) Act, 1991, Adelaide Hills Council proposes to make a Road Process Order to exchange portions of Public Road Reserve and private property at 13 Upper Sturt Road, Crafers West.

The adjoining landowner has approached Council to pursue the acquisition of portion of the road reserve, to rectify the existing encroachments on the road reserve. In addition, a walking path was created on privately owned property, and as a result, requires the realignment of the road boundary.

The Consultation Report, including a map of the site and additional information is available to view in the document library to the right of this page.

A hardcopy of the report is also available to view in Adelaide Hills Council Service Centres in Stirling, Woodside and Gumeracha during opening hours.

Any person is entitled to object to the proposed road exchange via a written submission. An objection must state whether the objector wishes to make a deputation to the Council in relation to the road closure process. The Council will give notification of a meeting at which the matter will be considered so the person making the deputation or a representative may attend, if so desired.
