The consultation for the Annual Business Plan has concluded. Thank you to all for your feedback.

The Annual Business Plan (Plan) provides an overview of all activities undertaken by Council and the resources to be applied to each of them, along with details of the proposed capital works program. The Plan also includes the draft Rating Policy which determines the impact that rates will have on individual properties throughout the Council district.

The draft plan has now been completed and we are eager to hear your thoughts and feedback. If you would like to get involved jump straight into one of the consultations below or read the 'How to Participate' section for further details.

As part of this process we would also like to know if you think we should invest in the next stage of works on the Amy Gillett Bikeway, stage four. Complete the survey on the Amy Gillett Bikeway to have your say.

All submissions and feedback will be considered before the final Annual Business Plan is adopted at the Council Meeting on 28 June 2016.

Council recently endorsed its draft 2016/17 Annual Business Plan (including budget) and is now seeking community feedback prior to tabling for adoption in June 2016.

The budget included within the draft Annual Business Plan provides for a general rate increase of 1.5% and a change to the current mix of fixed charge and variable rate. This change does not increase Council’s total rate revenue, but increases the base level of contribution made by all property owners to the services that council provides.

The Amy Gillett Bikeway is a shared path in the Adelaide Hills on part of the alignment of the former Mount Pleasant railway line. It is a 17 kilometre sealed path suitable for recreational cycling, walking and horse riding. Stage one covers four kilometres between Oakbank and Woodside, stage two extended the path through Charleston, and stage three added seven kilometres through to Mount Torrens. The proposed stage four works to Birdwood would extend the Amy Gillett Bikeway a further 6.2 kilometres.
